Update from coaching team

14 Jun 2020 by James Thornhill

Hi everyone, hopefully you have all seen the email from the club regarding return to football. Whilst as a club we have put plans in place to get the boys back out onto the pitch safely to work on their fitness and ball control we cannot yet confirm when this will start due to pitch availability.

As soon as we have positive news a communication will go out on here or from the club on email, or both!

whilst we can’t yet get the players back out on the pitch we can start preparing for the new season whenever that may start.

Tom and I took on the project of repairing the goals down at the college and after a couple of trips down there and to the store at the rec and some purchasing of parts we will definitely have 4 very good goals at our home venue once the season starts.

The supplier messed up our replacement net order so there is more work to do but I expect that to be complete within a couple of weeks.

As most of you are aware from carrying them they frequently fell to bits, were lacking clips and in some instances had holes in. All these problems have been rectified so hopefully this will add to the enjoyment of match day let alone accuracy of the scoreline!

Here is our prototype goal which we have replicated.

Finally please remember to join us for a short while on 28th June on zoom for our end of season recognition session including awards announcements.

Thanks
James ⚽️

Ps. Please can I urge you all to send in your players player award nominations as per Euan’s recent messages.
